The Balance of Trade between Jordan and Malaysia tilts toward the latter. The year 1997 had witnessed further deficit in the balance inasmuch as Jordanian exports to Malaysia depreciated by 23.3% and imports from Malaysia increased by 43.6% compared to the year 1996. As it stood by the end of 1997, the deficit in the balance of trade between the two countries rose up to JDs 72.3 million.
